former Postdoc

Stay period:Jan. 1, 2015 - Dec. 30, 2016

Christopher Gaul studied Physics at the Universities of Hannover and Bayreuth from 2001 to 2006. He obtained his PhD in 2010 on "Bogoliubov Excitations of Inhomogeneous Bose-Einstein Condensates" in the Group of Prof. Cord A. Müller at Universität Bayreuth. He then moved to Madrid to work on electron and spin transport in quantum nanosystems in the group of Prof. F. Dominguez-Adame at Complutense University.
In summer 2013, he returned to Germany to join Dr. Thomas Pohl's group at the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems, where he studied emerging interactions in laser-driven Rydberg systems. In November 2015, he joined Dr. Frank Ortmann's group at Technische Universität Dresden, where he is going to do theoretical research on doping of organic semiconductors.
