former PhD student
Stay period: | March 1, 2018 - Jan. 1, 2022 |
Tim Kühne studied Physics at the TU Dresden from 2009 to 2014, focusing on electronical properties of solids. His bachelor thesis at the IFW Dresden was about NMR measurements on the iron pnictide superconductor LaO1-xFxFeAs. For his master thesis, he moved to STM where he worked on the introduction of spin polarised STM at IFW and optimized it by usage of different tip types on ultra thin iron films on tungsten. Afterwards, he continued his work as research assistant with STM measurements on pnictide superconductors and improvements on the STM capabilities. He joined the group of Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti in March 2018 as PhD student, working in the group of Dr. Francesca Moresco in the MEMO project (Mechanics with Molecules).
