Zeljko Janicijevic studied Electrical Engineering and Computing at the School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade (Serbia) from 2007 to 2011 at the chair ''Physical Electronics'' with specialization in Biomedical and Environmental Engineering. During his studies he did an internship at the Center for New Materials and Nanotechnologies of the Institute of Technical Sciences at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, where he examined adsorption properties of different proteins and studied about ceramic nanoparticles. This internship was supervised by Prof. D. Uskoković. He obtained his bachelor's degree with the thesis topic ''Investigation of Protein Adsorption on Hydroxyapatite Nanoparticle Ceramics'' under supervision of Prof. D.Rakovic.
Significant part of his scientific education he has acquired at Petnica Science Center in Petnica (Serbia) while attending seminars of Chemistry Program in high school. In 2008, he was promoted to a Junior Assistant in Chemistry Program at Petnica Science Center and he has kept that position to date.
Zeljko continued his education in Germany in September 2011. He enrolled in the joint International Biomedical Engineering Master's Program at the University of Luebeck and University of Applied Sciences Luebeck.
