Wei Wang received his bachelor’s degree from Yan’an University, where he focused on the synthesis of photocatalytic materials for water purification. He subsequently obtained his MSc degree from Northwest University, China, with research on the synthesis and electromagnetic-wave-absorbing properties of electromagnetic shielding materials. Supported by a scholarship from the China Scholarship Council, he joined the Chair in January 2023 to pursue his doctoral research. His PhD work focused on the design and development of porous framework material-based micro- and nanoscale sensing devices, with particular emphasis on molecular recognition, signal transduction, and gas-sensing applications. He received his doctoral degree in June 2026 and has continued his research at the Chair as a postdoctoral researcher since January 2026.
