Myeong Lee

former Team member

Stay period:Jan. 1, 2009 - Dec. 30, 2011

Myeong studied Physics Education at the Seoul National University (South Korea) from 1987 to 1991 and from 1994 to 2000. For her Ph.D. in Physics she went to the Arizona State University in Tempe (US) and worked in the group of Prof. Otto F. Sankey. There, she primarily worked on electron transport through single molecules with emphasis on DNA base-pairs. Myeong got her Ph.D. on the "Electronic structure simulations of DNA base recognition and vibrational property analysis of polyanionic hydrides" in February 2009 and joined now the group of Prof. Gianaurelio Cuniberti as a postdoc. In Dresden, Myeong plans to work on quantum transport in DNA-based molecular wires.
