Jörg studied physics at the University of Leipzig and got his diploma in 2011 on "Simulation of seismic waves and time reversal in continuous random media". In July 2011 he joined the group of Prof. Mayr at the Leibniz-Institute of surface modification, where he wrote his PhD thesis on "Modeling nanomechanical properties at surfaces".
Since Jan 2016 he works within the group of Rafael Gutiérrez on the modeling of SiNWFETs.
