At the University of Hamburg Georg studied Wood Science and Technologies. In 2010 he finished his Bachelor studies. During his master he focused on Wood Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Wood. In the group of Prof. Dr. Saake he worked on a student research project about the "Determination of the enzyme activity according to the filter-paper-analysis". After finishing his master thesis about "Wood particle utilization and technical requirements outside the pulp and paper sector" in 2013 he started his job at Kübler & Niethammer Papierfabrik Kriebstein working on different aspects concerning environmental issues. Since 2014 he is member of the group of Prof. Dr. Cuniberti.
