International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose

21–25 May 2028 | Sunday to Thursday

Venue: Hotel Penck, Dresden, Germany

Save the Date: ISOEN 2028 Comes to Dresden!

We are delighted to announce that the International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose (ISOEN 2028) is planned to take place in Dresden, Germany, from Sunday, 21 May, to Thursday, 25 May 2028.

Following previous successful editions in Montreal (2017), Fukuoka (2019), Aveiro (2022), Grapevine, Texas (2024), and Chongqing (2026), ISOEN 2028 will bring the international scientific community together in the historic city of Dresden, renowned for its scientific excellence, technological innovation, and rich cultural heritage.

ISOEN is a major international forum dedicated to the science and technology of artificial olfaction, chemical sensing, and electronic noses. The symposium brings together researchers, engineers, clinicians, and industry representatives working at the intersection of materials science, sensor technologies, biology, artificial intelligence, and practical applications.

Scientific Scope

ISOEN 2028 aims to explore the latest developments and emerging opportunities in areas including:

  • Advanced chemical sensors, nanomaterials, and novel sensing principles

  • Electronic noses, electronic tongues, and multisensor systems

  • Bioinspired olfaction, olfactory receptors, and biosensors

  • Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and intelligent signal processing

  • Breath analysis, medical diagnostics, and healthcare applications

  • Environmental monitoring, industrial safety, food quality, and agriculture

  • Robotic olfaction, multisensory perception, and Physical AI

  • Sensor calibration, reliability, benchmarking, and standardization

The scientific program is expected to combine keynote lectures, technical sessions, tutorials, poster presentations, and opportunities for exchange between academia and industry. Further details will be announced as the organization progresses.

Welcome to Dresden!
